Hopkinsville, KY – September is National Preparedness Month, but Regional Citizen's Corps throughout Kentucky work to keep residents prepared for disasters year round. A citizen's corps is a group of volunteers overseen by a region's development district. They respond in emergencies and provide disaster training and information. This year, many districts saw a drop in state funding for their corps, but a few, including the Pennryile Area Development District, got a boost. Angela Hatton speaks with the PADD's Data Integrator Jim Creighton.
