Murray, KY – The Way Home is a reader's theatre piece by Murray playwright and WKMS commentator Constance Alexander. It's the story of two western Kentucky women whose lives become intertwined as they fight breast cancer. The Way Home has been performed all over the country as a fundraiser for causes ranging from women's health to the uninsured and hospice care. And this Sunday/this afternoon, it will be staged at Murray State's Wrather Museum as a fundraiser for Murray-Calloway County Hospital's Hospice House project. Constance Alexander came by our studios, and Todd Hatton asked her about what inspired her to write this play, and what the play inspires in its audience.

That was Constance Alexander, whose reader's theatre piece The Way Home will be performed Sunday afternoon/this afternoon at 2 at the Wrather Museum on MSU's campus. There's no admission fee, but donations will be accepted for the construction of a residential hospice house in Murray.
