On-Air Challenge: This puzzle is called "Artful." You will get clues for two words. Insert the letters A-R-T consecutively somewhere inside the first word to get the second one.

Ex. Exclamation akin to "Yo!" / Robust --> HEY, HEARTY
1. Singer who starred in Silkwood, Mask, and Moonstruck / Reserve, as a plane or bus, for private use
2. Strait between Alaska and Russia / Trading
3. Light brown / Scottish cloth pattern
4. Drunken spree / Someone who might help with that drunken spree
5. Sofas / Graphic elements in ancient hieroglyphics

Last week's challenge: Last week's challenge came from listener David Edelheit of Oyster Bay, N.Y. Think of four 4-letter proper names that are all anagrams of each other. Two of them are first names — one male and one female. The other two are well-known geographical names. What names are these?

Puzzle answer: "Liam" and "Mila" turns into "Lima" and "Mali"

Puzzle winner: Tom Rosen from Austin, Texas

Next week's challenge: This week's challenge comes from listener Joe Young of St. Cloud, Minn. It's a takeoff of one of my own from a few weeks ago. Name a well-known U.S. city in two words. Replace each of these words with a word that rhymes with it, and you'll name a large sea creature in two words. What is it?

Previous audio and Web versions of this segment were incorrect. The singer referred to in the on-air challenge starred in the movie Moonstruck, not Moonshine.
Will Shortz has been the puzzle master for NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday since the program's start in 1987.
