Kentucky State Police have arrested two Missouri men for trafficking drugs in Eddyville.
Logan Daugherty and Thomas Gouldsmith were stopped for speeding Thursday morning when police smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle. Police recovered four ounces of marijuana, more than ten packages of Fentanyl, Adderall, drug paraphernalia and more than $3,000 dollars in cash.
Daugherty was driving the vehicle and was charged with trafficking Fentanyl and marijuana, possessing Amphetamine and drug paraphernalia and not wearing a seat belt. Gouldsmith was charged with trafficking marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Public Affairs Officer Jody Cash said police are seeing a growing trend in fentanyl cases in west Kentucky. Cash said the increase is concerning because of the dangerousness of the drug.
Daugherty and Gouldsmith are being held in Caldwell County Jail.
