Hopkinsville Community College is one of ten community colleges selected as a finalist for a prestigious national award for innovative education.
The 2017 Bellwether Awards focuses on recognizes institutions using ‘diverse solutions to critical issues’ and gives awards annually to colleges with outstanding and innovative programs or proposals.
The Bellwether has been compared to football’s Heisman Trophy, because it is competitively judged by peers in community colleges with no cash awards.
HCC’s Chief Institutional Advancement Officer Yvette Eastham’s proposal has been selected by the Community College Leadership Consortium to compete in the Planning, Governance and Finance category.
College finalists will present their program at the assembly January 30th, 2017 and a winner will be announced the next day.
