A former police officer who was the lead investigator of a 1994 double slaying at a southern Kentucky massage parlor has been sentenced on a tampering with evidence charge in the unsolved case.
The Kentucky New Era reports 50-year-old Leslie Duncan was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison.
Duncan pleaded guilty in September in Christian County Circuit Court to the charge and prosecutors recommended a three-year sentence.
Duncan's 2012 arrest warrant accused him of having "knowingly altered evidence which directly affected its reliability and availability" in the investigation of the slayings.
