A section of the Interstate 24 – Purchase Parkway is closed to allow emergency responders to recover a crashed semi-truck.
The closure is expect to last until around 5 PM.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says crews are closing the Northbound Purchase Parkway ramp to I-24 Eastbound at the Exit 25 interchange.
Traffic seeking to reach I-24 eastbound should detour via Purchase Parkway north to US 62 in Calvert City, then turn east to access the Exit 27 I-24 interchange.
Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and emergency personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
