Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin appointed Tuesday the former Ballard County Deputy Judge-Executive and Sheriff to the recently vacant Judge-Executive position.
Todd Cooper fills the vacancy after former Judge-Executive Vickie Viniard was charged with federal fraud late last year.
Cooper is a native of Barlow. He is a member of the Ballard County Chamber of Commerce and has served as Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Wickliffe since 1994.
Cooper said in a release he is excited about the future of Ballard County.
