A new full-time staffed federal prosecutor's office has opened in Kentucky.
The office opened Wednesday in Bowling Green, which the U.S. attorney's office said had never had a full-time staffed federal prosecutor's office.
U.S. Attorney Russell Coleman's office said in a news release the opening required approval from the U.S. Justice Department and Congress.
The release said the office at the U.S. District Courthouse in Bowling Green will be staffed initially by Assistant U.S. Attorney Madison Sewell.
She will be joined by Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Yurchisin and another assistant prosecutor later this year.
