Frankfort, KY – Kentucky homeowners who want to contribute to the electrical grid now have new guidelines to follow. Homeowners who use small renewable power devices like solar panels, hydroelectric and wind energy generators may choose to send any excess power back to their electric utilities. Those who do, receive a discount on their electric bill. Public Service Commission Chairman David Armstrong says the "net metering" program is a step toward diversifying Kentucky's power system.
