Frankfort, KY – Kentucky was one of 39 states that saw growth in home sales during the second quarter of this year, a sign the ailing housing market is coming back to life. According to the National Association of Realtors, home sales rose 2 and a half percent April through June. Brent Wimpee is president of the Builder's Association of South Central Kentucky. He says the average time on the market hasn't really changed, but the number of existing home sales has increased. Many economists say the worst of the housing recession is over, though foreclosures are expected to rise over the next year.
