Princeton, KY – A local concrete company has settled a multi-million dollar, class action lawsuit that claimed it unknowingly sold defective materials for nearly 20 years. Federal Materials settled the $10 million lawsuit with some 300 plaintiffs. Customers claim the defective concrete rapidly cracks and deteriorates. The concrete was produced at Federal Materials' Princeton plant and originates from sub-standard limestone from a nearby quarry. The Paducah Sun reports most of the concrete was sold in Crittenden, Lyon, Caldwell and Hopkins counties between 1998 and 2004.
