Stumbo calls stonewalling

By AP

Frankfort, KY – Kentucky House Speaker Greg Stumbo is accusing a state agency of stonewalling lawmakers who are seeking details about a Medicaid-managed care program. Stumbo said today that House leaders are seeking more information about the Passport Health Plan as part of their budget deliberations. The program serves about 157,000 members. Stumbo sent a letter to Cabinet for Health and Family Services Secretary Janie Miller requesting immediate information about whether Passport is cost effective for the state. The cabinet did not immediately respond when asked about Stumbo's letter.
