Paducah, KY – Governor Steve Beshear was in Paducah yesterday to discuss details on the construction of Paducah & Louisville Railway's new headquarters on Marine Way. The company expects to begin construction this summer and move in by the middle of next year. The move is expected to create at least 10 jobs. Beshear says in times of double-digit unemployment, every created job should be celebrated. The Paducah Sun reports P & L decided to keep its headquarters in Paducah after the city provided land and the Kentucky Economic Development Cabinet approved a $400,000 tax credit incentive. The company operates rail lines in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and West Virginia.
