Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway says the state will not join a constitutional challenge of the recently passed federal healthcare bill. House minority leader Jeff Hoover, speaking for a group of Republican legislators, had asked Conway to join other states attorneys general to challenge the bill. In a statement, Conway says the challenges are without merit, and says the action would not be a good use of taxpayer resources when the General Assembly is considering budget cuts.
