Frankfort, KY – Kentucky's tax revenues were up last month and state officials see it as evidence the Commonwealth's ecomony is slowly rebounding. State Budget Director Mary Lassiter says general fund receipts have grown by 4.4% since the start of the fiscal year. The rise in revenue comes as a bit of relief after recessionary economics shrank Kentucky's budget by some $1.5 billion in the last two years, resulting in massive cuts to nearly all state agencies and furloughs for government employees.
