Nashville, TN – Political analysts don't expect the size of Tennessee's congressional delegation to change when the Census releases its latest population figures. The figures will be used to reapportion legislative district boundaries within the states. Chairman of the Republican National Committee's redistricting committee, attorney John Ryder, says he expects Tennessee's to remain at nine. Tennessee Republicans this year picked up three formerly Democrat seats in Congress. That has given them a 7-2 advantage over Democrats, but may make redistricting more problematic as each member will likely seek to protect their current district.
