Clarksville, TN – Clarksville city officials will revisit a study looking at city employee wages at its first meeting of the New Year. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports the study found most city workers were underpaid on average, while finding some were overpaid. The study also revealed Clarksville's longevity benefits - or those based on an employee's length of service - were better compared to most cities. Mayor-elect Kim McMillan and new city council members in January are expected to discuss three proposed options designed to bring underpaid city workers up to speed and how to fund the initiative.
