Clarksville, TN – Clarksville's upcoming Hemlock Semiconductor plant is beginning to take shape as dozens of cranes work to erect its metal framework. Over 1,100 workers are on site constructing the billion-dollar-plus facility. Hemlock Community Relations Manager Liana Wallace tells the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle plenty of job opportunities are still available through the Montgomery County Career Center as contractors search for carpenters, electricians, welders and pipe fitters. The construction workforce at the site is expected to grow to over 1,500 by this summer. The plant is expected to be open in late 2012.
