Frankfort, KY – Kentucky House speaker Greg Stumbo says gambling proposals won't be considered in the legislative session that begins Tuesday. Stumbo says gambling legislation debated over the past three years won't get a hearing because it has no chance of passing. But scores of other bills have already been drafted and are ready to be introduced. Among the high-profile proposals is one that would allow Kentuckians to carry concealed weapons without first obtaining government-required permits. Another would require pregnant women to undergo ultrasounds before having abortions so they could see images from inside their wombs.
