Hopkinsville, Ky. – The Kentucky Department of Education says Christian County High School must take one of four actions: close the school, hire an outside agency to run the school, transform the school, or reassign teachers to other schools. The suggestions follow a DOE audit performed after the school was ranked among 2010's lowest performing in the state. Principal Kathy Johnson will keep her job, but the current School-Based Decision Making Council will be disbanded in 45 days. Johnson will work with Superintendent Brady Link to decide which option to follow. The plan is to implement next school year.
