Paducah, KY – Counties bordering the Ohio River remain under a flood warning. Heavy rains and snow melt have contributed to the river swelling yesterday to nearly 47 feet in Paducah and almost 49 feet at Brookport. National Weather Service meteorologists expect river levels to crest at 49 and a half feet by Friday morning. 52 feet is considered a major flood stage in Paducah. The Paducah Sun reports Massac County authorities are installing floodgates in Brookport.
