Clarksville, TN – Construction of Clarksville, Tennessee's billion-dollar-plus Hemlock Semiconductor plant is halfway completed. Solar panel production remains set to begin in the fall of next year. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle describes the plant site as beginning to take shape and appears almost as a small city unto itself. Some 1,300 construction workers are on site and that number is expected to soon swell to more than 1,500 by this summer. The workforce has already outgrown the site's parking lot prompting an expansion to accommodate more.
