Frankfort, KY – 14 high-tech companies will divvy up over $4 million in state funding through a matching program Kentucky offers to attract technology-based small businesses. The funds were awarded after the companies received federal grants. Governor Steve Beshear says so far the program has awarded 57 companies almost $25 million in state funds, leveraging more than $42 million in federal money. It has also attracted a dozen high-tech, startup businesses to the state.
