Paducah, KY – McCracken County officials say renovations to their emergency operations complex will be complete by September. Emergency Management Director Paul Carter says a rescue vehicle building, the first building in the county's new complex on Coleman Road, should be finished by the end of May. Then an office building housing the management, code enforcement, inspections and road departments will be complete by the end of September. The county's existing facility will be converted to an emergency operations center. The project is projected to cost just over two million dollars. The Paducah Sun reports a U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant has been secured to help pay for renovations to the county's existing building.
