Paducah, KY – The McCracken County Fiscal Court has set a public hearing for next Tuesday on two proposed industrial projects along Carneal Road. Zoning Board members approved the initiatives last month. Commissioners yesterday signed off on findings of fact in preparation for the hearing. The projects would build a coal terminal and coal-to-liquid plant along the Ohio River creating 180 jobs. The plan is opposed by a number of groups and nearby residents citing environmental and health concerns. The Paducah Sun reports a public hearing and first reading for the rezoning is set for 6:00pm at the McCracken County Courthouse.
