Murray, Ky. – A proposed Murray Go-Kart racing track goes back on the table at today's Board of Zoning Adjustments meeting. Quentin Hines and Bruce Carter are looking to open the Go-Kart track at 800 Chestnut Street, across from the city park. Hines and Carter faced a 7 to 0 no vote from the zoning board on their attempt to get a conditional use permit in February. In their denial, the board cited traffic and noise concerns. The new application includes a plan to use electric versus gas-powered Go-Karts to reduce noise and cut down on pollution. The hearing is open to the public and begins at 4:30 today.
