Calloway County, KY – Many area counties are eligible to receive state funds to help pay for clean-up after heavy rains and flooding during the past two months. 26 Kentucky counties will collect up to $30,000 dollars of a total $780,000 dollars in state funds set aside for environmental remediation. The Murray Ledger & Times reports Gov. Steve Beshear made the announcement Friday that grants will assist counties in disposing of solid waste related to flooding.
