Murray, KY – The attorney for a truck driver charged with murder in a fatal crash involving an Amish buggy says test results show his client was sober. Attorney Rick Boling says Mark Bohms had no alcohol or drugs in his system when the July 8th crash occurred. Bohms' tractor-trailer struck the buggy as he crested a hill in Hopkinsville. Bohms says he attempted to change lanes, but couldn't avoid the crash that killed 3-year-old Barbara Smoker. A grand jury will look at the test results and consider reducing or dismissing the charges. Hopkinsville Police say Bohms acted strangely after the crash, leading investigators to believe he was on drugs.
