Murray, KY – The Kentucky Department of Education released statewide data today charting school performance under the No Child Left Behind Act. The report indicates almost 43 percent of the Commonwealth's 1,148 public schools made adequate yearly progress. The NCLB uses reading and mathematics tests to determine that progress. Murray Independent School District was among the 12% of districts statewide who met 100 percent of the NCLB goals and the only one in our region to do so.
