Toys For Tots in Need of Donations

By Drew Adams

Murray, KY – It seems the annual Toys for Tots campaign that provides gifts to underprivileged children at Christmas time is in need of more toys this year. So far 1,500 toys have been donated and officials are anticipating helping 3,000 kids this year. McCracken County Toys for Tots Coordinator, Barry Bryan says though all toys are appreciated and needed, the toy drive needs more toys for girls. Bryan says toys will be distributed on Dec. 10 and 17, and toys donated after those dates will be added to next year's donations. He says there is a $30 per-toy limit and the group tries to pair children with a toy they like and request. Donors are not held to the limit and can donate any toys or cash amount they prefer. Families have until Dec. 3 to enroll for new toys.
