Conway Offering DUI Training Course to State Officials

By Drew Adams

Murray, KY – Attorney General Jack Conway says his office is offering a workshop on effective prosecution of drunk driving cases. The training is geared for police officers and prosecutors and will be held Dec. 14-16 in Lexington. Conway said in a statement the goal of the seminar is to "create a team-building approach in the detection, apprehension and prosecution of impaired drivers." The statement says increased enforcement has led to a decrease in alcohol-related traffic fatalities in Kentucky. The training is funded via grants from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration administered through the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety.
