Datebook: July 8 - Riverfront Concert, Gentry House Donations, MFA Reading Series

The fourth concert in Paducah’s Riverfront Concert Series is tomorrow night at Wilson Stage on the riverfront. The concert series pairs local musicians with nationally-known performers. This week, the Great Gatsby Jazz Funk Odyssey performs from 6 to 7, and Carsie Blanton performs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The concert is free.

The Gentry House seeks donations of toilet paper, dish soap, toilet bowl cleaner, toilet bowl brushes, disinfectant wipes, laundry detergent, kitchen trash bags, and dish sponges. For more information about making a donation, call (270) 761-6802 or email thegentryhouse@gmail.com.

The Murray State University MFA program hosts its 2015 Reading Series this month. This weekend, fiction writer Erin McGraw reads Saturday evening at 8, and poet and essayist Andrew Hudgins reads Sunday evening at 6. Readings are free and open to the public. All readings are held at the Clara M. Eagle Gallery, located on the sixth floor of the Doyle Fine Arts Center at MSU.
