The 4th Annual Gentry House Derby Party is this Saturday afternoon from 2 to 6:30 at the Murray Banquet Center. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Gentry House, which is an emergency transitional homeless shelter in Calloway County. Tickets are available in advance through the Gentry House website or at the door.
May 13th is the deadline to register for Murray State University's Summer Art Workshop 2016. The workshop is for high school students and features study in sculpture and 3D printing, mixed media painting, stop-motion animation, drawing and animation, and art history. The 19th Annual Jeep Jamboree at Land Between the Lakes is May 13th and 14th at the Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle Area. Experienced guides assist Jeep drivers and their passengers through wooded trails, challenge obstacles, and other off-highway trail adventures. Pre-registration is required.
