2020 River of Music Party (ROMP), Held Annually in Owensboro, Cancelled

ROMP, Facebook

An annual live music festival in Owensboro that attracts 25-thousand people won’t be held this year.

The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum announced today that the 2020 River of Music Party—or “ROMP”—has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organizers had originally postponed the summer event to the fall, but now say the ongoing pandemic makes it impossible to ensure the safety of fans, musicians, vendors, and volunteers.

The museum says it’s now focusing on next year’s festival, which is scheduled for late June, 2021.

Ticketholders for this year can transfer their passes to next year’s festival…donate the fees paid to the Hall of Fame …or request a refund.
