[Audio] The Carson Center's 11th Annual Distillers Dinner Features Four Roses Bourbon

Carson Center - Paducah, KY, Facebook

The Carson Center in Paducah hosts the 11th Annual Distillers Dinner on October 17, one of their signature fundraising events. This year's menu features Four Roses Distillery with Bourbon Hall of Famer Al Young. Tracy Ross speaks with Director of Development Debbie Wattier about what's on the menu and more about the evening's festivities.

The reception features stories by Al Young and live music by guitarist Brent Webster, there's a small silent auction as well. The dinner on stage includes a full-course meal by Artisan Kitchen, featuring the main course: roasted beef tenderloin with blood orange bourbon butter, sweet potato pan-crepes and brussels pancetta hash.

The dinner started after the Carson Center opened and was thought up by Kenny Roof, who Wattier says, forecasted that bourbon would continue to grow in Kentucky and in international popularity. He wanted to do a bourbon diner as a benefit to the Carson Center, she says. The event has raised over $100,000 for the non-profit regional arts center. She adds that there is currently 5.7 million barrels of bourbon inventory in Kentucky, which is one million more than the total population of the Commonwealth.

Reservations are required. To speak with Debbie Wattier, call 270-443-9932.
