[Audio] Market House Theatre Presents "All Shook Up"

Market House Theatre, Facebook

Market House Theatre’s next show is “All Shook Up,” a musical comedy featuring songs made famous by Elvis. The musical debuted on Broadway in 2005. “Heartbreak Hotel,” Love Me Tender,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” are a few of the 24 Elvis numbers. On Sounds Good, Tracy Ross speaks with the director and choreographer about the production.

This is the first time directing a play for Penny Notter. She says she was attracted to direct the musical because she is the only person on the cast who has seen Elvis live and the only one to have visited Graceland.

Notter calls the musical fast-paced and energetic. She says the play loosely follows Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

“All Shook Up” will run three weeks beginning June 2nd. See more details and a list of show times here.

Tracy started working for WKMS in 1994 while attending Murray State University. After receiving his Bachelors and Masters degrees from MSU he was hired as Operations/Web/Sports Director in 2000.
