[Audio] Market House Theatre's Michael Cochran Tells a River City Ghost Story

markethousetheatre.org

Each October, as the night falls earlier, the cool air crisps and leaves turn shades of orange and red, The Market House Theatre leads groups by lantern along the historic streets of downtown Paducah, telling stories of legend and lore. The River City Ghost Tours are underway and a play titled Dangerous Obsession opens tonight (October 15). On Sounds Good, Matt Markgraf hears a ghost story preview from Executive Director Michael Cochran.

Tour guides dress in the Victorian time period and carry lanterns through the old 'rough and tumble' town of Paducah. Michael Cochran tells the story of a business in the early days, the prominent Michael family - who owned and operated a hardware store and brick warehouse downtown and the fate of one of his  well known business associates.

The next River City Ghost Tours are this Saturday. The tours at Oak Grove Cemetery are Next Saturday, October 24th. Dangerous Obsession opens this evening and runs through October 25.
