The Calloway County Health Department has confirmed two new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the county to eight.

Health officials in a release Monday evening said both new cases are residents of Calloway County. Out of the eight cases, three are fully recovered, four are isolated at home, and one is hospitalized.

Health officials said the county should expect more cases, and because of that, the need to continue social distancing practices is key. Find state updates regarding the coronavirus at kycovid19.ky.gov.
