A website aimed at “transforming the way people make big life decisions” has ranked Calloway County as the 2nd best county to live in in Kentucky.
Niche, formerly known as College Prowler, came up with the rankings based on statistics from 13 factors, including cost of living, real estate market, diversity, commute times, education and crime and safety. The data used by Niche comes from the U.S. Census, the FBI, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other sources.
Fayette County ranked first in the state. Among other western Kentucky counties, McCracken County came in at 4th, Lyon County at 11th and Marshall County at 16th.
