Carmen Lowry's humanitarian work with the International Rescue Committee has recently taken her to Lebanon and Iraqi Kurdistan. Her focus is programming involving social change, empowerment, and addressing gender-based violence. She visits Kate Lochte on Sounds Good to speak about her work.
"You know, I think what really drives me in this work is this notion that we can really make a difference, that we can create a world where people are valued, a world where, in particular, women are valued, where we don't have that level of violence."
