Coming February: More All Things Considered, Fresh Air at New Time

As we begin this 45th year of WKMS broadcasts, we thank you for amazing generosity at year's end! We enter the new year with a new weekday afternoon schedule for your listening pleasure.

Monday, February 2, get an extra dose of the biggest stories of the day as we expand our coverage of All Things Considered to start at 3:00 pm. The day's stock recaps and financial news move half an hour earlier with Marketplace at 5:30. And Fresh Air's award-winning long form interviews debut in the 6 o'clock hour.

Program Director and host of Sounds Good and Beyond the Edge Tracy Ross says, "These changes will give you more opportunities to hear All Things Considered in the afternoon while getting the days stock updates and financial news from Marketplace as soon as possible. And we hope you'll be happy to have Fresh Air at 6 pm when you can step away from the day a bit to savor Terry's long-form interviews."

We're moving KET's One to One and Connections to Sunday mornings at 9 am to restore important regional news programming following NPR's comprehensive Weekend Edition Sunday.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
