Deputy Judge Executive Files As Independent For Calloway Co. Judge Seat

Facebook

Calloway County Deputy Judge Executive and former sheriff Bill Marcum has filed to run as an Independent for the office of judge-executive.

The candidate filing deadline for the May primary elections was January 30th, but Independents and other political parties have until April 2nd to file. According to the Calloway County Clerk’s office, Marcum is the only Independent candidate in the race that includes two Republicans, one Democrat and a member of the Veterans Party of America.

Marcum has switched parties in past races, from Democrat to Republican. Independents must also file a nominating petition by August 14th, which requires at least 100 signatures to be on the November ballot.
