Eastern Kentucky University’s Board of Regents has approved tuition, meal plan, and residence hall rates for the fall semester. The EKU board voted Monday to increase undergraduate resident tuition by 5 percent.

Regents also approved a 3.5 percent increase in the meal plan cost and about a 10 percent hike in residence hall rates. The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education is tasked with taking final action on tuition rates.

The EKU board also got an update on several building projects. Among the construction projects that have been or will be completed this year are the second phase of the new science building, two dorms, a parking garage and Case Dining Hall.
