Enjoy Another Season of Paducah Symphony Orchestra Broadcasts on WKMS

We're pleased to present another season of broadcasts of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra on WKMS and WKMS All-Classical. We'll air the program a week after each live performance from The Carson Center in Paducah. Hear conversations with the symphony's Executive Director Daniel Sene and Maestro RaffaeliPonti on Sounds Good before the performances. 

Dates & Times: 

On the weeks of broadcast, concerts debut preempting the Sunday re-airing of A Prairie Home Companion on the main channel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are rebroadcast Sunday nights from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. preempting Classical Encore

On WKMS All-Classical, you can hear these broadcasts debuting Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Also, Mondays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesdays from Noon to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • September 20: Brahms' 2nd Piano Concerto
  • October 11: Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony
  • November 15: Mahler's 1st Symphony
  • December 20: A Christmas Celebration
  • February 28: Sibelius' Violin Concerto
  • March 20: Pictures At An Exhibition
  • April 24: Beethoven's 9th Symphony
Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
