Tennessee authorities say an escaped inmate has surrendered himself back into custody after a seven hour stint on the loose.
The Humphreys County Sheriff's Office told news outlets 45-year-old Steven Ray Hamm returned to Humphreys County Jail on Friday morning, having made a break toward a nearby highway and spending the night on the run.
Hamm is being detained at the jail on pretrial charges of theft of property, burglary of a motor vehicle, failure to appear and failure to pay child support. On top of it, he'll now face escape charges.
It's unclear how Hamm escaped.
