Flights from Bowling Green to Atlanta Cut in Half

Lisa Autry, WKYU

The number of flights from Bowling Green to Atlanta has been cut in half due to low demand, just nine weeks after the service was initiated.

The Bowling-Green Warren County Airport said the reduction in the number of flights went into effect Nov. 1.

The Bowling Green Daily News reports customers who are affected by the cancelation of flights were notified and offered a $50 voucher.

The flights on the Tennessee-based Contour Airlines started on Aug. 29 after four decades without commercial air service in the Bowling Green area.

The airport has canceled Monday- through-Friday afternoon flights to Atlanta.

It’s keeping the Monday through Friday morning flight to Atlanta, departing Bowling Green at 6:15 a.m. One Sunday flight will also continue. The airport also has seasonal flights to Destin, Florida.
