Former Christian Co. Schools Football Coach Pleads Guilty To Internet Sex Charges

CHRISTIAN COUNTY DETENTION CENTER

A former football coach for the Christian County School District pleaded guilty this week to internet sex charges involving a minor.

Christian County Commonwealth’s Attorney Richard Boling said Bryan Wimbleduff  pled guilty to one charge of sending obscene material to a minor and two charges of using an electronic device to procure a minor.

WKMS previously reported a police report said Wimbleduff contacted a 15-year-old victim via Snapchat. Wimbleduff requested the victim send pictures of their penis and masturbate in exchange for money. Wimbleduff also sent a picture of his penis to the minor. According to a past archive of Facebook, Wimbleduff was director of football operations at Christian County High School and an assistant head football coach at the Christian County Middle School.

Wimbleduff pled guilty as a part of a plea deal with a recommended sentence of eight years in prison. Boling said Wimbleduff will also have to register as a sex offender. Boling said prosecutors are not recommending Wimbleduff recieve probation in the sentence, but are neutral on whether Wimbleduff recieves shock probation.

Wimbleduff’s sentencing is March 4.
