Former Hopkinsville High School Band Director Arrested On Rape, Sodomy Charges

Former Hopkinsville High School Band director Jordan Seth Peveler was arrested Wednesday on three felony offenses involving a minor.

According to Christian County Jail records, Peveler was charged with third degree rape, third degree sodomy and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Peveler was arrested by the Hopkinsville Police Department and is being held in Christian County Jail with a bond set at $10,000 dollars. He is due in court Thursday at noon.

According to the school’s website, Peveler was appointed band director in 2014. He directed the concert band, marching band, pep band and 6th grade bands at South Christian and Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary Schools.

Christian County School System Director of Public Relations John Rittenhouse said Peveler is no longer employed by the school system.
