Free Medical Services Coming to Mayfield

Wikimedia Commons

Free medical services will be offered in August in Mayfield thanks to a partnership between the Department of Defense and Delta Regional Authority. Mayor Teresa Cantrell says the medical, dental and eye care services will be offered through the DOD’s Innovative Readiness Training Program, which aims to prepare the military in case of a disaster and provide services to the community.

The free clinic is set for August 5-13 at the old Morgan Haugh Clinic behind Stone’s Healthmart.

Whitney grew up listening to Car Talk to and from her family’s beach vacation each year, but it wasn’t until a friend introduced her to This American Life that radio really grabbed her attention. She is a recent graduate from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., where she studied journalism. When she’s not at WKMS, you can find her working on her backyard compost pile and garden, getting lost on her bicycle or crocheting one massive blanket.
